Top Green Building and Sustainability Expert Joins SR Inc
A leading national expert in green buildings and sustainability joins SR Inc as Executive Vice President of Research and Consulting. Michael Gresty sought out SR Inc for our break-through business model. He shares SR Inc’s commitment to leveraging the power of member directed, shared-cost, consulting and research to accelerate SR Inc Members’ move to more sustainable high-performance.

Michael Gresty has been a leader at the intersection of green buildings and corporate sustainability for a decade, advising senior executives at global companies on the integration of sustainability into company strategy, operations and culture. Michael is a native of South Africa and a Paris trained green building architect. Prior to SR Inc, Michael was Managing Partner at Altanova Energy + Sustainability and a co-founder of Kinetix, two leading corporate sustainability consultancies.
Michael is expert in advising top management teams in green buildings, sustainable strategies and solutions as well as defining and implementing management best practices. His dozens of top clients have included Biogen Idec, Chubb, Disney, Extell Development, Gillette, PPG Industries, Praxair, RXR Realty, Schering-Plough, Starwood, The World Bank, and TimeWarner.
He is a frequent speaker on green buildings and sustainability at industry events, and has facilitated numerous LEED projects including large office, data center, retail, hospitality, and residential projects. Michael has created and taught professional courses on international green building standards and practices and was a co-founder of the more than 1,000 member Sustainability Practice Network (SPN) non-profit based in New York City. His earliest work focused on large infrastructure and design projects in the United States and France, and on the development of civil engineering design software in South Africa. Michael received his Architecte DPLG from the Ecole d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville, and also holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Cape Town.
